Indian Railways Launches 2 Special Trains for Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra 2025
In a big relief for devotees planning to attend the famous Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, Indian Railways has announced two special trains between Jagdalpur and Puri. Operated by East Coast Railway, these trains aim to make travel easier for pilgrims from Bastar and surrounding regions during the Rath Yatra season.

Special Train Schedule (Jagdalpur–Puri–Jagdalpur)
Train No. 08445 – Jagdalpur to Puri
- Departure: June 26 & July 4, 2025
- Time: Leaves Jagdalpur at 9:00 AM
- Arrival: Reaches Puri at 1:15 AM the next day
Train No. 08446 – Puri to Jagdalpur
- Departure: June 28 & July 6, 2025
- Time: Departs Puri at 12:45 AM
- Arrival: Arrives in Jagdalpur at 4:45 PM on the same day
Coach Composition & Facilities
These special Rath Yatra trains will include:
- 4 Sleeper Class coaches
- 6 General Second-Class coaches
- 2 Second-Class Brake Vans with Divyangjan (Differently-Abled) accommodations
This move is expected to benefit thousands of devotees and travelers, especially the elderly and differently-abled pilgrims, during the religious festivities.
