This train was officially flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22 May 2025 during a major nationwide event under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS). The initiative aims to boost rail infrastructure and passenger services across the country.

As part of the ongoing efforts to modernize and expand the Indian Railways network, this new superfast service was introduced during the Amrit Bharat Yojana event held in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The same event also marked the inauguration of 103 redeveloped railway stations across India.
