New Delhi, March 1, 2026: The UTS on Mobile app has officially been discontinued from today, March 1, 2026. All unreserved ticket booking services have now been migrated to the new RailOne app, as announced by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS).
Passengers who were using the UTS app for booking local and unreserved tickets must now switch to the RailOne platform.
UTS App Closed from March 1, 2026
The Indian Railways has officially shut down the UTS on Mobile app starting today.
Earlier, the UTS app was used for:
- Booking unreserved train tickets
- Purchasing local/suburban train tickets
- Buying platform tickets
- Using the R-Wallet digital payment facility
From now onward, these services are available only on the new RailOne app.
RailOne App Is Now Live for Un Reserved Ticket Booking

- Unreserved ticket booking
- Local train tickets
- Platform tickets
- R-Wallet usage
Passengers must download RailOne and complete fresh registration to continue booking tickets.
What Happens to Your R-Wallet Balance?
This is the biggest concern for daily commuters.
According to CRIS: Your existing R-Wallet balance will be transferred to RailOne. You need to login or signup using same account you are using in UTS.
CRIS clarified on social media:
“Important: Your R-Wallet amount will be transferred to RailOne. Please use the same Mobile Number as of UTS to register on RailOne.”
Key Point:
If you register on RailOne with a different mobile number, you will not be able to access your existing R-Wallet balance.
Can You Change Your Mobile Number and Still Use R-Wallet Money?
No, As per Indian Railways guidelines:
- The R-Wallet balance is non-transferable
- You cannot shift the balance to another number
- You must either:
- Use the balance by booking tickets, or
- Surrender the R-Wallet at a UTS counter
How to Get Refund of R-Wallet Balance?
If you do not wish to migrate to RailOne, you can:
- Visit a nearby UTS ticket counter
- Request to surrender your R-Wallet
- Receive a refund (after deduction of applicable clerkage charges)
Note: A small clerkage charge will be deducted from your balance during refund processing.
What Is RailOne App?
The RailOne app is the new unified mobile application by Indian Railways that will now handle:
- Unreserved ticket booking
- Local train ticket booking
- Platform ticket booking
- R-Wallet services
- Additional passenger services (expected in future updates)
